Here’s a sampling of some of the projects we have completed over the past couple of years:
- US Airways, Richmond International Airport. Re-cabled all voice and data for the administrative and management team desk locations as well as coordinated the replacement of all check-in counters and all voice and data drops at these counters. Also, installed/replaced all required fiber-optic runs and installed new de-marc locations for a coordinated, off-hours, cut-over to this new infrastructure. This job included about 110 drop locations.
- US Airways, Norfolk International Airport. Re-cabled all voice and data for the administrative and management team desk locations, as well as coordinated the replacement of all check-in counters and all voice and data drops at these counters. Also, installed/replaced all required fiber-optic runs and installed new de-marc locations for a coordinated, off-hours, cut-over to this new infrastructure. This job included about 130 drop locations.
- St. Patrick’s Catholic School, Norfolk, VA. Installed 554 voice and data cabling drops, 56 CATV drops, as well as all fiber-optic and high-pair copper feeds required to connect the various buildings and or wings within their facility; including a 1,000’ 50-pair copper feed, a 600’ 12-strand multi-mode fiber-optic feed, and a 400’ 6-strand, multi-mode fiber-optic feed. This was a typical installation where multiple IDF’s feed back to the MDF.
- Magnolia Conference Center, Camp Peary, Newport News. This was an early 2008 project, where we installed one, 400-pair, Cat-3 feeder cable and about 275, Cat-6, secure cable drops at their new conferencing facility.
- P293 Marketstyle Apartments, Norfolk, VA. A mid-2008 project at NOB that included the installation of 647, Cat-5e cable drops, a number of 25-pair feeder cables totaling 1,100 pairs, 630 co-axial (RG-6 and RG-11) cables; including all voice, data, CATV, and all required outside plant copper and fiber-optic feeds.
- NAVRESFORCOM Administrative HQ Building, Norfolk, VA. A late-2008/early-2009 project at NOB that included the installation of 1,400 Cat-6 cable drops; including all voice, data, CATV, and required OSP/ISP-based fiber-optic cabling (a 600-pair copper feed cable, a 72-strand fiber-optic feed cable, and three 12-strand fiber-optic feed cables).
- Halifax Regional Hospital Expansion Project, South Boston, VA. A 1st and 2nd quarter of 2009 project that included the installation of high-pair copper from the basement to the 4th floor, as well as multiple SM and MM fiber-optic riser cables between floor locations, as well as 550+ voice and data CAT-5e cable drop locations on the new 4th and 5th floors.
- NMCI Support. Numerous NOB, Little Creek, Oceana, and Dam Neck projects falling under the ongoing Navy Marine Corp Infrastructure (NMCI) program; including the installation of inside/outside-plant solutions in both secure/non-secure environments. We do everything from small-scale, single drop repairs, to full-building fiber to the desktop installations, to building-wide PDS installations, to multi-site fiber connectivity via existing or installed underground conduit systems. As far as emergency copper and/or fiber-optic repairs are concerned, we also provide 24 x 7 support to all area bases.
- On-Staff, RCDD Design Services. Our ongoing design/build capabilities allow our RCDD to work hand-in-hand with Owners, GC’s, EC’s, and the appropriate architectural project resources to design cost-effective and technically sound structured cabling communications solutions.
